Has anyone figured out a way to make a histogram chart in Crystal 8.5? It does not seem to be an option anywhere. I need to sort a large set of data from 1.0 to 4.0 and count the number of 1.0's. 1.1's, 1.2's then display on a chart with count on the vertical axis and data number on the horizontal axis.

Thanks.

Just create a formula that returns a different text (label) for each record based on the range it falls in. Then, chart using that formula as the "On Change Of..."

Yes, I have that, but a true histogram would also display no data for the gaps where none of the data fall into. For example, if I had 2 values of 1.1, 0 values of 1.2 and 3 values of 1.3 - I already now can create a histogram of sorts that displays a bar graph for the 1.1 and 1.3, but it skips 1.2.

Thoughts?

UNION dummy records to a summary view that already counts the umber of cases per each interbval.
