Hi,

Have installed Hipath Manager E V8_R4_2_0 on new laptop and try to dial out (via External ISDN-TA modem) but that fails.
First I tried the RS232 port on COM1 but it seems the software only looks to COM5 and higher.
So I installed a USB to RS232 cable and connected this one to the external modem, this one now is on COM7. In Windows 7 the modem works (can query and send commands), the Hipath Manager says the COM7 is valid but does not dial out via the modem?
The ass_150e.ini file is configured for the modems AT commands.
I've checked if the HM version is compatible with Windows 7.

Does the Hipath Manager need additional settings and were can these be set?
Thanks 4 an answer.

If you have isdn on the system. There is a built-in modem. You have to set up ddi and allow remote access without code
You said you are tring to dial out from the system. If connecting local to the system you just need a rs232 lead

After rereading your post, I took it up wrong

You will need capi driver and capi modem. The software will not see a standard isdn modem

If you have a 3000 on your site with an HG card you can use it to perform the modem function for you. You just need to load Vcapi on your laptop and set up the phone system and you can do programming from anywhere on your network.
