HiPath Assistant not synchronising after upload

Problem is HiPath Assistant does not synchronise after the upload.
TSN shows the Hipath performing its upload (UPLO2) and assistant shows that the upload is running. Once the upload has completed Assistant still shows that the upload is running. I've re-installed Unixware to no avail. How should the HiPath indicate to the Assistant that the Upload has synchronised? The upload cannot be initiated again with out rebooting the Unix. Any ideas?
System is UV1.0

My idea is: UPGRADE!!!!!! None of that system's processors are currently supported.

After you re-installed Unix, did you install the required HotFixes/VK patches? Assistant, especially Config Management, needed several (actually, many!) VK patches to successfully run way back in V1.

Can you access Assistant > Config Management > Network > System? Is this where you are looking at the "Upload" status? From here, I assume that you may click "Action" > Upload to start a new Upload.

"Upload" here means that the copy of the Assistant/Unix/Informix database is being compared to the Switching Unit's copy of the database. So the problem may not necessarily be within Assistant, but definitely COULD be.

Have you performed AMOs EXE-UPDAT:BP,ALL; and EXE-UPDAT:A1,ALL;
recently? Did these AMOs run successfully? If so, then the Switching Unit and the A1 processor are communicating with the the active load device. Speaking of active load device:
Perform DIS-DDSM:A1;
Are all the areas on Controller 1 (Hard Drive) "In Service"? Is Controller 1 the "ACTIVE LOAD DEVICE", or has the system loaded from Controller 6 (MO)? If so, you will see "ACTIVE LOAD DEVICE" next to the Controller 6 information.

Is this a Simplex (only one processor) or Duplex (dual processors)?

Re-post, but I cannot access this site until late tonight. Perhaps others can also help.

Many thanks for your suggestions Iamnothere.

Upgrading is out of the question as the system software, hardware revisions go through approvals to meet customer's requirements when tested and under no circumstances are we allowed to upgrade.
I know too well that this version is unsupported given that V6 is now out and there will be a V7 apparently.

I think I've now found the problem. The ADP started doing intermittent restarts with area E of the HD just showing present, instead of in service. Activating this area would work until I called up an AMO. I've changed the disk and am now able to perform successful manual uploads which go synchronous. Given the age of this system I think the HD was obviously on its last legs so to speak.

Once again many thanks for your ideas.
