Hello,
please give me step by step AMO, to configure 1 ip phone.
I am familiar with WABE,BCSU,RICHT,LDAT,SBCSU,LDPLN but
do not have proper idea of BFDAT,CGWB.
Mr.(IamNotThere) you must reply.

If you already have any IP phones on your system similar to the one you want to add (HFA or SIP) then you can cheat and do this in expert mode:

REGEN-SBCSU:XXXX;

Where XXXX is the extension of the existing phone.

You will get a string of stuff that starts with ADD-SBCSU:... copy and paste that into the command line at the bottom of the window, change the extension number to your desired new number, and the PEN number to a valid PEN for that phone type, then press Enter at the end of the string.

That will get it created. Then you can go back and mess with the forwarding, pickup groups, person's name, key layout or whatever using the assistant.

In order to give you a string to create one from scratch we would have to know what kind of phone you're trying to install (generic SIP, optipoint, openstage, etc)

let me know how to configure STMI2 and ip address in pabx.
i have copy the REG-SBCSU from other 4000 v4.Just configuration of
STMI2 is little problem for me.

On the most simplistic level you can go into the assistant, to System Data, to Board, and then hit search with no criteria. Then move to object list, and find your STMI2 card on the list. Click on it ONCE, and then click on object. You will now see the data for your board. Go to the tab for STMI2 board data and you can enter the static IP, netmask and default gateway for your STMI card.
There are other settings in there as well and I'm not going to admit to knowing how to set them all. One of the major ones is if you are able to designate how much of the board is SIP vs HFA you want to do that now, because once you start adding phones to the card in order to change how it is partitioned you will first have to delete all the phones off of it, change the settings and then put the phones back on.

I don't know if just giving it the IP address, gateway and netmask and leaving everything else at default is enough to allow you to put phones on it and have them work.

AbdulRashid, I will try to respond tomorrow. If you still need the info, please post the STMI2 board part number.
Also, do you want to dedicate this gateway to HFA phones and ONLY HFA phones? Or are you interested in assigning multiple features such as IPDA Speech Path, IP Trunking, Sip Trunking, Sip Subscribers, WAML, etc? I recommend dedicating just one feature.

I will check back tomorrow.

The part no is Q2316-X
well initially I want to configure just one ip phone.when I am
femiliar then i would like to configure IPDA Speech Path, IP Trunking, Sip Trunking, Sip Subscribers.
Thanks and Regards.
