HiPath 4000 V6 SIP/SNMP radio

I am working for a site that uses HiPath 4000 V6 and I believe HiPath Trading consoles to control two radios among other things. I am working on upgrading the radios themselves but issue i run into is the old radios were remote controlled via rs-232 signaling and the new ones are ethernet/SNMP/SIP. Currently the users can select which radio to key on but also can change to a preprogramed channel from the console. I am certain i can keep the keying/audio using legacy connections but the channel changing is where i am getting stuck. Has anyone experienced this and would know the best way bring a modern radio online?
