hello

Greetings,

I have a problem with Customer which have HiPath 4000 V6 R1.12 (DSCXL2 of R1), when we try to change CHANGE-DATE:EAST,120,NT,0; to CHANGE-DATE:EAST,120,DST,0;

The system is blocked and returned back to 2010 year,

Why is the problem happened with V6R1? And UNIFY tell us its start from V6R2?
How can I solve this problem(Not Workaround Commands)

thread965-1760212

Thread Above Refers

I have set the workaround and the fix to V6 R2 only and on V7 but I have no R1 to test on

i'm try to use the HF of V6R2 but it is not successed

V7 R1.8.x requires a MOP to correct. V7 R1.39 and higher just need to be patched in the usual manner.

I think the V6 patch is only for the most current version?

Where does it fail on V6R2 - I have that fixed and working

customer have
Hipath platform V6R1.12.2
RMX V6 R1.12.39

i'm try to by Assistant-Software transfer to send the HF patch of V6 R2.17.2 which released by Unify but it can't send from the PC to HiPath 4000 system,

so i solved by workaround but i need to solve by HF Patch to eliminate add the workaround again for each restart time.

waiting your help.

You need the MOP. That works on V6 R1.10 and R1.12.It's the same MOP for all versions that don't have the official platform hot fix.

what are you mean by MOP to reqest ir from UNIFY

I have the file in my office - if needed I can upload it next week. I have not looked at it because we are choosing the upgrade route instead, but it's basically a shell script (or scripts) you have to run on the platform linux. I think it's zipped and probably has instructions. Doing the MOP *will* result in down time, especially if you are running a simplex system. MOP means "method of procedure"

I have uploaded it to the hipath download site

It is in the Docs folder under
'H4KV6 OS4KV7 2010 to 2016'

You need to use SFTP (Filezilla will work) to the ACTIVE Processor to transfer the file to the /tmp folder
Please read the PDF Document in full before proceeding.
If it is a simplex/single processor it will have to reload.
If it is a duplex/dual processor it will reset ADS & Assistant and switch between A&B

Use putty to SSH to the Active Node (eth0 IP address of the Active Processor - check in Portal to see which side is active)

Log on to Assistant/Portal to see which side has the A if it is a duplex or just look at the little screens if on site.
Use SFTP on Filezilla Client to the eth0 IP address of the Active Processor - use root and your root password
Go to the /tmp folder on the HiPath
Upload the file to the /tmp folder

Use Putty to SSH to the eth0 IP Address
Logon using root and your root password

cd /tmp
bash fix_4K_2016_year.sh GENHF
Above line will generate a 'hotfix' in the Assistant which you can install to fix the date problem

Example of Putty output:
XXX-COR-A:~ # cd /tmp
XXX-COR-A:/tmp # bash fix_4K_2016_year.sh GENHF

Hello

Sorry to pick up this thread.
I just have one doubt...if we already applied the workaround, can we use METHOD 1, or do we have to use METHOD 2?

Thanks...

We did the workaround, then the official fix from Unify. But the system is not syncing the time. I figured, well hey, the workaround had you turn the sync off, so I turned it back on and the phones went to 2010!! So.....our vendor went back to Unify.

The methods I'm talking about it's the ones that are described in the MOP file that you uploaded in tonidoid. Do you remember?

Hi,
Well it has been 4 months [hourglass]

Any system that still has the 2010/2016 problem has either been fitted with non-display phones or gone back in time.

All software available now for download from Unify/SEBA has the fixes incorporated in.

If you do need to fix a system:
Do you have Access Point Emergency (DIS-APESU;) ?
If Yes then use method 1

Do you have a system without Access Point Emergency (DIS-APESU;) ?
Then use method 2

Soory to pick up this thread again, but I have a customer that has installed V6 R1.1.0.
How can I apply the fix permanently?

I see that the MOP only works from version 1.10.0. What is the best procedure to apply the fix or MOP?

Thanks...
