Hello,

Need your help,

I configure a Polycom SIP extension in HiPath 4000 V5. The polycom is now connected to hipath and I was able to make a call but my problem is this extension is not able to receive a call. Whenever we dial this sip polycom it did not push trough.

I also try to configure Openstage 15SIP and a thrid party SIP client and all has the same problem when calling.

PLease advise what parameters do i need to check in order to make SIP extension to be able to receieve a call.

Thanks

Post the SBCSU for one of your SIP subscribers. That should provide enough info to get started.

But first, try this: CHA-ZAND:OPTLOAD;
Then see if your SIP stations can be dialed.

Is the command CHA-ZAND:OPTLOAD; will not ecounter such downtime or problem with our existing SIP and IP trunking connections?

Thanks you

Your SBCSU config looks fine. The key is the protocol SBDSS1 and the OPTIDX = 10. As I have explained on here before, when the system boots, only the required OPTIDX tables are loaded into memory. If you just configured your first SIP station, then there is a very high probability that OPTIDX 10 is not yet loaded, and the result is usually a "high and dry" (total silence - no ringback - no nothing) when the SIP station is called.

The CHA-ZAND:OPTLOAD; simply reviews the database and re-loads the flagged OPTIDX tables. Never say Never, so I would do this during off-hours JUST to be sure. Perhaps during lunch. But in reality there should not be any problems at all.

Thanks for all your help..

Maybe i will do the command you said during off peak hours in a call center environment. We are a call center company that is why it is not allowed to make any changes which have an effect in the voice communication.

Thank you verym much
