can any one help me to know the operation of this pbx.
thanks

Log on to the 'Assistant' and start from there.
I presume that it has been handed over to you and that you were given some introduction?

What do you know about telephone systems ?

basic knowledge, this is the first time i work on this systems.

Well OK
I found initially that using a notebook helped.

Have you seen ComWin / Expert Access or have you used the web browser page called the Hipath Assistant?

Do you have any information at all from the previous maintainer ?

were you given any user names / passwords for the system?
Do you have physical access to the system (are you in the room with the system)
Are you also responsible for wiring out of extensions?
Is there an operator console?

Expert Access
i have a remote desktop for the system, but i don't have any information from the old maintainer
the system is built and no new extension available,
and i need to configure access code if users type number 9, then they need to put an access code to can all an external call.

I think what you require is called 'forced account coding' whereby an end user needs to put in a 4 (or more) digit code so as to make an outside call.
In the meantime the Operator can transfer the users to any number they require.
This is not for a person starting out on Hicom/HiPath.
You will need to contact your maintainer to do this for you.

there is no maintainer for the system, from this time, i well do all issue about this system

this argent "how can display all station numbers assign to dial plan 1".
and i have an issue,
dial plan 1 can call external number by typing 9+number
but station in dial plan 0 can call external using, 9+ID+number,

and in dial plan 0 it define as 9-W-02-X-X.
but in dial plan 0 8971-W-02-X-X.
what is the deference make this access ?

i need to know the relation ship between tdcsu,trunk group, cop,cot, cossu, richt.
i don't find any file explain this relations.
thank

Hi Mayoush,
I originally thought you were trying to get around call barring setup at your school or similar situation.
It is difficult for you having been given the task of minding the system.
Having travelled all over that region during the '80s, can I ask where you are located there?

If you look at the digital phone.
DIS-SBCSU:XXXX;
where XXXX is the extension number, you will see what DPLN it is in.

For an analogue phone it is
DIS-SCSU:XXXX;
Again X is for the extension number of the phone and you will see what DPLN it is in.

If you want to change to Dialplan 0 (DPLN 0)
Digital:
CHA-SBCSU:STNO=XXX,DPLN=0;
Analogue:
CHA-SCSU:STNO=XXX,DPLN=0;

Same for DPLN 1 but put in 1 instead of 0.

With regard to the '8971' code
It is probably a code that was given to some users to bypass call barring or to enable them to dial International.

You could put a phone in to DPLN 0
then dial 9 8971 and see what happens.

Here below is a copy of a post I made some time ago about 'forced account coding' which you may be looking for:

Here is how to do it using 4 digit 'PIN'

ADD-PERSI:TYPE=SYS,CDRACLEN=4,PIN10LEN=4;
CHANGE-PERSI:COPIN,10,PCODE,"ACCOUNT CODE",NO,,NO,TABLE,*0,UNICD,ONE,COS,NO,TIMEDISP,NO,YES,YES,YES,YES,1,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO;

add 2 sample account codes 0000 and 1234 for COPIN 10
ADD-PERSI:pCODE,"0000"&"1234",10;

to remove an account code e.g. 1234
DEL-PERSI:pIN,1234;

add in zero for a line for all dialplans except dialplan 10.
in dialplan 10 zero is for to activate pin 10
ADD-WABE:0,0&&9,,TIE,N;
ADD-WABE:0,11&&15,,TIE,N;
ADD-WABE:0,10,,APIN10,N;

for the dialplan 10 phones to dial out add as follows:
ADD-WABE:*0,10,,TIE,N;

copy all the LDPLN's that have 0-w-x etc. but change them to *0-w-x etc. so as
phones in dialplan 10 can dial out.

To make a phone have to put in a pincode to dial out change it into dial plan 10
example
CHA-SBCSU:STNO=8096,DPLN=10;

to change back to normal dialling out
CHA-SBCSU:STNO=8096,DPLN=0;

CDR:
to add *0 as 0 in CDR texts
ADD-RCUT:*0,0;

amend CDR mask in CDR Program to take account of PINS

In your case because you dial 9 for an outside line:

Here is how to do it using 4 digit 'PIN'

ADD-PERSI:TYPE=SYS,CDRACLEN=4,PIN10LEN=4;
CHANGE-PERSI:COPIN,10,PCODE,"ACCOUNT CODE",NO,,NO,TABLE,*0,UNICD,ONE,COS,NO,TIMEDISP,NO,YES,YES,YES,YES,1,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO;

add 2 sample account codes 0000 and 1234 for COPIN 10
ADD-PERSI:pCODE,"0000"&"1234",10;

to remove an account code e.g. 1234
DEL-PERSI:pIN,1234;

add in zero for a line for all dialplans except dialplan 10.
in dialplan 10 zero is for to activate pin 10
ADD-WABE:9,0&&9,,TIE,N;
ADD-WABE:9,11&&15,,TIE,N;
ADD-WABE:9,10,,APIN10,N;

for the dialplan 10 phones to dial out add as follows:
ADD-WABE:*9,10,,TIE,N;

copy all the LDPLN's that have 9-w-x etc. but change them to *9-w-x etc. so as
phones in dialplan 10 can dial out.

To make a phone have to put in a pincode to dial out change it into dial plan 10
example
CHA-SBCSU:STNO=8096,DPLN=10;

to change back to normal dialling out
CHA-SBCSU:STNO=8096,DPLN=0;

CDR:
to add *9 as 0 in CDR texts
ADD-RCUT:*9,0;

amend CDR mask in CDR Program to take account of PINS

Before you make any changes
EXE-UPDAT:BP,ALL;
EXE-UPDAT:A1,ALL;

Also you should complete a REGEN of the system.

Regards
