Hello all,

We have an HiPath 4000 v2.0 installed, and CDR was working perfectly until few days ago.
I really don't know how to troubleshoot it.
I executed DIS-LSSM; but I don't see any IP on the user side so I assume the connection is not being established, correct?
I believe it is a LAN connection but how can I troubleshoot it? I didn't want to lose CDR data, it's very important!!

Thanks in advance!!

Try
DIS-SELS;

If you see one that is other than STOP
then it is the one (or more) that you are using.
Reset them as follows:

DEA-SELS:SELGRNO;
ACT-SELS:SELGRNO;
DIS-SELS;

If you look in the HISTA you should see CDR errors
or DIS-SIGNL:SYSTEM;
then STA-HISTA:MIRROR;
you should see a 'maintenance alarm 29' for CDR

Thanks sbcsu,

I made what you told me to but it stays the same.
In fact there is one ON in DIS-SELS;...I deactivated and activated but no luck.

In HISTA I don't see any errors for CDR.

This is a system that I'm maintaning recently, and I found out now that it uses METAMANAGEMENT to connect to the CDR aplication.
I try to login to the METAMANAGEMENT IP but first it gives me an error when I login: "LMT: last start of the 'Load License Data' task failed."
Then after I accept Java prompt it gives me another error: "There are some problems in communication with server. Please restart your browser.".

Do you have any idea?

Thanks...

ok...just an update!

It seems that the IP that I'm trying to login via https is the Hipath 4000 Manager v2 site. I try to login with engr but it gives me the error of communication.

However I can login to the same IP but via SSH. What can I do in CLI/UNIXWARE to troubleshoot the two problems? The CDR problem and the https login problem?

Thanks in advance sbcsu!!

To remove the HiPath from the cause of the problem:

Setup Hyperterminal or similar as 9600 8 N1NN LAN connection to 192.0.2.5 Port 1202
Use 192.0.2.99 or similar on the laptop
If you need Hyperterminal for Win 7 download it Here

You should see the ##### banner and then call charging.

To confirm you can DIS-LSSM; and you should see the Laptop IP address and its port.

If all that works then the problem is external to the HiPath.

It may be that your application is downloading the files via FTP ?

Yes...the application is downloading the files via FTP...is that a problem?

Then it is using the COL in the Assistant.
I am not experienced enough in that - sorry - but have a look.

Thank you sbcsu..

I logged in to assistant - COL but I don't seem to find that much information.

My billing application is using the HiPath Manager to get the CDR files...is it possible to have a COL in Manager intead of Assistant?

Thanks...

Thanks...

In fact the COL was configured in an external server running HiPath Manager.

The server had some problems with the HD and the Informix database doesn't start.

So I decided to configure CDR/COL on the Assistant...everything seems to be ok, it's just missing one small important thing...configure a FTP user to access /var/col/data/deliver/ from my billing app.
On the Hipath manager there was a user created for that, but I can't login to Manager so I can't see any of the configurations...only by SSH.

Can you guys please tell me how do I configure a user that has access through FTP to the Assistant to the COL path???

Thanks in advance!!!

Ok...now I managed to establish the FTP communication between billing app and COL.

But I need your help in something else.
I configured the input format and everything is ok, however I need to configure the output format to something like this:
Field1;Field2;Field3;.....

How can I achieve this?

thanks
