Is there any kind of a mobile applications for the HiPath 4000 I can install it on my smart phone, so that I can use my mobile phone as an ordinary station?

If you have something other than a BlackBerry you can put a SIP client on it and use it as a SIP extension wherever you have WiFi service on the same network as the gateway IP for the 4000. I have an android phone and use CSipSimple, which works pretty good when I have good WiFi coverage.

There is also an app called OpenScape UC Mobile, but I'm not sure what the system requirements are for making it work. It may require a special server or special application on the 4000.

OK, other than the OpenScape, that WiFi service, does it need a card module? and what is its part no?
also I guess also it will need some kind of access points, does it have to be a special kind?

Thanks a lot

I have VOIP capability on my 4000 with an STMI card. My WiFi access is via the corporate LAN that is already built out.

The Openscape UC client you can get for your phone would run off cellular, but I don't know a thing about how it works or how to implement it.

Sorry (

I do have HiPath 4000 system.
And my VoIP capability is with a STMI card too.
But I do not have a WiFi access in my corporate, do you have any idea what I can do for it? Does it need like a wireless card to be installed in my HiPath?

I believe it's desired to runn off the wireless computer network you say you do not have. You would have to install a WiFi router on your network at the very least. You would be limited to the signal ranger of the chosen router.

OK, this WiFI router, how can I coonect it to the HiPath 4000?

The WiFi router hooks up to your LAN. Your 4000's STMI card should already be hooked up to your LAN if you have any IP phones in use. You would set your cell phone to access your WiFi router while you are in your company, and you load the mobility app on your cell phone and tell it the IP of your STMI card is the gateway for the mobility or SIP.

I don't really have the resources to go any further into it then that. If this is important to your company you might want to bring in a vendor to do the setup for you. :)
