Hello,

I have a problem in HiPath-4000 V4 PABX. The hard disk of the system is out of order and I am going to re-build the hard drive. The system is now running on RAM memeroy and I do not have any backup of customer database in any form. Is that possible to copy the customer data in memory to new hard disk? If possible then what is the procedure for that?

Thanks in advance for the support.

I have V5, but if the backup screen is similar you should be able to change where you archive the data from Hard Disk to MOD/CF and then choose the type of backup to be Data, which should back up your customer database and unix settings to a CF card or MO Disk. It doesn't pay to try to backup any of the HD stuff if the drive is bad.

Doing an HD recovery on that system will be no small task! May the Force be with you.

Hi,

In some case, type "DEACT-DSSM:A1,1;" and replacement the HD damage by HD recory and after type "EXEC-UPDAT:BP,ALL;" "EXEC-UPDAT:BP,ALL;"

I have done the above before in other systems. Rebuilt the drive somewhere else with the same OS version currently on the switch, replaced the drive and then did the UPDATs and had it be good. I do believe the second one should be A1,ALL rather than a duplicate of the previous BP,ALL unless there is a special reason to do it twice to be sure it took.
