This question is more for US based systems, not sure if Assistant is used in the IM versions. Anyway the HP4K does a nightly sync in Assistant to sync it's database with RMX so you can do changes. I personally spend 99.9% more time in command line since I have training and experience with the Hicom/Hipath since '91 in the US market. I have been trying to locate a file or someplace in UnixWare where the timestamp that determines this sync job is defined. Not much luck with that. Some sites under my care do this sync job at 00:00 hrs and some kick off at 01:00 hrs. Some sites don't kick off the sync job at all and this requires the job to be started manually in Assistant-Configuration Management which works unless there are other issues at play. Any of the ex-Siemens wizards from Munich or Bulgaria might know where this is defined or tell me to forget it, Maybe it's buried in a binary exe file and I can't manage this at all. Configuration Management is the GUI used if you don't know RMX/AMO command line. A strange beast since the developers apparently didn't get much interaction with the teams that developed the AMOS since they don't have a lot of common naming conventions between them. Thanks for any info.

I'll take a stab at this....

look in /etc for directories like cron.hourly, cron.daily, and cron.weekly. There are usually script files in those directories that get executed at those interwals. There should also be a crontab file that might have other scheduled stuff in it.

That comes from linux, and may have no impact on things on the RMX side.

If you go into Assistant, you can possibly find what you're looking for under Software Management - Backup & Restore - Schedule, but I don't know where those entries get stored in the system.

The assistant is used in IM versions also, as far as I know there is only one version now?

I know how to start the upload but how to tell when it does it automatically is not known by me.
They used to say that it would do it automatically when there were enough changes to be sent.

It does use the UPLOL and UPLO2 AMO's to backup everything.

donb--I have looked extensively through the cron jobs and can find nothing. Nothing in backups.
sbcsu-You may have a point about only running an upload after enough changes have been done to warrant an upload

Will keep checking
