Hipath 4000 Alarm Reporting

Looking for a method to report alarms from HP4K systems via modem/SNMP/email without using 4K Manager. Looks as if most of the SNMP bundled in the 4K is Siemens proprietary. The custom callout adapter only places VPN tunnel calls back to Irving, TX. Can that be modified to place calls like the Hicom 300, (zmodem packet)?

Any ideas??
