Hipath 3800: Password issue

Hi !!

Yesterday I change the default password of user 31994.

Now I can connect to Hipath 3000 Manager but can´t manage other users from Security -> Administration. It show a message about user rights.

How can I fix that ??

Please any advice !!!

The documentation says that if users forget all passwords you need to generate new system.

What does that means ?

what you read in documentation, means, that if you forget all usernames and passwords, then you have no choice but to factory reset the 3800 using the reset button.

The maintenance account has never let me into security to access passwords. On that note, neither has 31994, because I have wanted to create a user with less rights and haven't been able to do it....

I hope you know all the passwords, you have set one of them to "User Administration" and you can now only login with that User/Password to change the logins.

If not then you're screwed, factory default it and sending a config back will not help. You could try to default the system and send an old config back.

I have found that if I factory default the system I have full access to all of the passwords and features. As soon as I upload the database file of my configuration back into the system it overwrites all that with what you had so you're right back in the same boat....

Then better send an old config back with the working passwords and reprogram it, will take half a hour. Or start from scratch, you can copy/past a lot in the HiPath manager.
