Hello

We have a 3550 latest version running 8 SIP trunks.

The system support 2 tenants in the same building.

Does anybody know a way to allocate 4 lines to one company and 4 lines to another so they can both press 9 for an outside line but only go out on there allocated lines.

Can do this but one company will need to use a differnet access code which I do not want.

I dont think this is possible but wanted to check.

Thanks

normaly you would use different access codes, but you could try using lcr, set the route as 9CZ and have both trunk groups set as routes 1 and 2, so when they dial 9 the system should let the call go out on the trunk assigned in cos for that extension
set dial rule to E2A

I have not used this but cant see why it would not work.

Hello

I have just tried that and it does limit me to the 2 trunks i specified but will not let me out with a 9 prefix. If i pick up the line using the trunk code it works fine but not the 9. it must not like there being 2 entries of 9CZ in the dial plan.!!

you dont use the 9cz twice, you only put that in once you use class of service trunk access for each extension, so say ext 100 in class of service 1 with access to trunk group 2 and ext 101 is in class of service 2 with access to trunk group 3 and each pairs of trunks in each trunk group
