Hello,

I have an HiPath 3500 for tests, and I'm trying to achieve the following:
A digital extension activates the forward of all calls to his cell phone, when someone from outside calls the extension and the call reaches his cell phone it should appear the original number of the person who called the extension.

What is happening is that when the call reaches the cell phone appears the external number of the extension itself, making it impossible to know who called the extension.

Is there any configuration that can be made on the HiPath to change this behaviour?

Thanks in advance!

I think this is depending on your public line.
For our ISDN lines it is working when we activate the feature
"outreach call number transparent".

Thanks for the response xs650!

However I tried ticking "outreach call number transparent" and the problem still remains!
Can you tell me which options you have ticked on Display, Routing Parameters and Routes sections please? I suspect it may have something to do with some of those options!!

Thanks in advance!

I believe the problem exists because the forwarded extension IS actually making an outbound call to the cell phone, so the forwarded phone's number is going to be the one that shows up. The call handoff isn't accomplished until the person actually answers the call to the cell phone. What the cell phone user probably sees is the PUBNUM of the phone that is placing the call, and in the event there is not a valid PUBNUM it would probably send the generic number for the main company. I'm not sure if there is a way to pass that information back to the CO, and if, in fact the CO would then send it out again. If it would be anywhere I would start by looking at COT/COP and other trunk group settings for the trunk the call is going out on. I am pretty sure that on an internal network like Cornet there are parameters that can make that happen.

When you activate outreach call number transparent and you make an external diversion
on an ISDN line the systems sends a setup with two calling party numbers.
One is the original calling party number (not screened) and one is the
subscriber number (screened).
You can see this when you make a call monitoring on the line.
When you send out both calling party numbers but on the other side you don´t
see the original calling party number, I think your provider don´t support
this feature.
We have to buy this feature for the ISDN line.

Second option to achieve what you want is to activate rerouting in the Routing parameters.
Than the diversion is made at the provider side. We still have to buy this feature...

@Donb01: Are you sure that you are talking about Hipath 3000? [wink]

It's been years, but I know there are like a zillion flags and checkboxes for all those settings, and I know I used to be able to pass the info across Cornet when a call came in to a remote site and was forwarded across the network, but I don't remember that ever working for outbound calls though - it either sent the number you had in there for the station (if you had your area code and local exchange stuff set up right in the system) or it passed the generic number assigned to the whole span. It has been 6 years since I got rid of that system though, and I'm sure there have been a few software revisions that I was behind on at the time.
