Hi All

Bit of an odd question but hoping someone can help.
We have a hipath/realitis 3000 that I'm in the process of stripping the patching for the lines out of the building before we decommission the system (Slow progress)

Facilities are starting a project to replace the aircon systems in our comms rooms and are looking to reduce the capacity in the pbx room since it will no longer have the PBX in it.
Im wondering if there are any steps I can take to reduce the heat output of the system while its in its current limbo state?

For example can the battery cabinet be bypassed & the system run directly from the mains?

Thanks
Grant

Yes, a HiPath 3000 can run directly on mains, but maybe it depends on what power supply it is equipped with.
Can you be a bit more specific how the system is build, maybe take some pictures?
Kds?

I can do
I know we have 2 systems, both have 4 shelves of cards, a shelf with 3x rectifiers and separate battery cabinets,
I'll try and get photos/part numbers form the PSU's later on today
