I swear I posted this a couple of days ago but can't find it! Anyway, some friends have been having problems with their computer. I have had them download Spybot S&D and AdAware and run them. They've uninstalled a couple of things and killed some stuff using Spybott and AA but they are still having problems. Please take a look at the HJT log and any suggestions appreciated!

[Any EXE in a temp file is generally guaranteed to be bogus. Apparently, there are two (2) user profiles that both need to be cleaned. The EXEs might be randomly named. Delete both and verify subsequently that the same or new TEMP file names are not (re)generated. Better still clean out all TEMP files and internet cache for added effectiveness.]

Repost a new HJT log. Those of us who provide such observations and others with similar issues will benefit greatly by such or any other feedback.

Sorry, but I just saw this. If you haven't already done so, you'll need to put HiJack This in its own directory, rather than running it from a temp directory.

"The Crystal Wind is the storm, and the storm is data, and the data is life. You have been slaves, denied the storm, denied the freedom of your data. That is now ended; the whirlwind is upon you . . . . . . Whether you like it or not."

"Trent the Uncatchable" in The Long Run by Daniel Keys Moran

I agree with all of the above and would also say to delete all of the cache(s) in docs & settings for all profiles, ie: temp, cookies & temp internet files. I would also run sysclean available from and also run spysweeper as it picks up lots of traces that spybot and adaware seem to leave behind.

Hope this is helpful:)
