Also, i uninstalled the windows latex tool (TexnicCenter), but the context menu items remain under the new menu (TexnicCenter Project, LaTeX document). How can i remove those? I'm probably going to have to go through the registry, aren't i?
 
I didn't see anything in your Hijack This log that stood out as too alarming.
