I would like to be able to print the current record in a datasheet view of a table. What is the easist way for the user just to press a key to print the record highlighted or selected or perhaps they could view the record in a from and select print . Will access print just one record from a form view. I need a report that prints what amounts to a pallet tag.. One page per record of the selcted records.

Hi

Do you have the datasheet view as a subform of a main form?

If yes, you could place a control on the main form (set visible property to false if you wish) to contain unique id of currently selecetd record

You can populate that control from the subform so Parent.UniqueId = UniqueId

Now set up a button on the main from to print the report, have the report based on a query whose criteria is the Uniqueid on the mainform

No it is a single form no subform. I was thinking maybe a macro or function key. If a row is higlighted in datasheet view does it become current record and can that pass to a report as parameters
