Anyone out there know if there is a way to highlight a window of time in the Gantt Chart? I would like to have all tasks showing and the entire Gantt chart, but have a highlighted portion for a 3 week look ahead. Is this possible with Microsoft Project 2007?

1. Show All Subtasks
2. Adjust the gantt chart window so that it is wide enough for your needs
3. Adjust the time scale so it meets your needs
4. You can actually now draw on the Gantt Chart
5. Click on >View, >Toolbars, >Drawing
6. Click on the Oval or Square icon on the Drawing toolbar
7. Now click on the gantt chart and hold down with your left mouse button
8. Extend the circle or sqare until it surround the data you would like to highlight. Release the left mouse button.
9. If you right click on the image, then click on Properties, you can format the image to meet your needs.

Hope this helps!!

No. Project does not allow dynamic highlighting of individal time units (weeks, months, etc.) on the Gantt chart.

As I tell people: if you want to control projects, use MS Project. If you want pretty pictures, use Paint.
