Hi Aixers,
I have a problem with one of our servers that shows 100% in the usr sectoin of the CPU utilization!
There is an oracle 8i application running with the binaries and the data on rootvg (I know what everyone will say now This started to be a test database and now it is a production one! So i can see that we need separate disks for the data. But what i don't understand is why when our DBAs tries to drop some of the tables, the CPU usr goes high?!? I would expect something like high wait and high IO hit but not the usr!?!?
Any logical explination to that?
The Asynchronous IO (AIO) is still not modified (still 1 min and 10 max) so would i get a much better performance by increasing the AIO!?!
I have two internel Disks on rootvg, AIX5.2 on an LPAR (p5570 machine)
Regards,
Khalid
