Hi,
I've posted this on the Oracle Web App Server section as well - as I think it may cross the boundaries:
I am currently working on a project that aims to run an Oracle forms 6i application across our intranet. We are using Developer 6i patch 4a. The 9iAS server (1.0.2.2.1) seems to be set-up fine as other applications that have been tested on it run without any problem.
After a random amount of time (we think), an Internet Explorer 5 client goes from about 20Mb of memory usage up to around 80Mb within a couple of seconds, then rises further up to around 100Mb. After about 1/2 an hour the form becomes responsive and the amount of memory drops down to around 30 - 50 Mb. This is the same for IE5.5. Unfortunately we are not allowed to use JInitiator on the network.
At first we though it was due to the large number of records the system has to deal with, but we removed the record group that fetched about 47000 records but the same thing still happened.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem and could you help me fix it.
Thanks in advance,
Russell
