Does anybody know of such a free resource on the NET that contains pro looking memo, report templates for MS Word XP that were professionally designed in Illustrator?

The templates that come with Word are quite basic looking.

Of course, as it is ONLY A WORDPROCESSOR!!!

To make a template for Word docs that look professionally laid out requires you to make them yourself, inserting company logos etc in a suitable format.

For Word docs that are to be printed on a typical desktop printer, the best vector graphic format for logos are WMFs (the native Windows vector format) however, these will not translate well to offset printing - don't even try it. They also don't allow you to make good PDFs.

Word will happily accept TIF and JPG files, so if you get the size and resolution right first, these can be safely inserted in a Word doc.

Insert all graphics into a header and/or footer, which will make them harder for users to change them (unless knowledgable about Word) and save the layout as a DOT file (Word template).
