In other forums, especially Adobe's forums, others refer to InDesign as the High-End software for publications as opposed to Pagemaker. My reply is that I've been producing award-winning magazines, directories and visitors guides with PM (on a PC, too.) What makes InDesign High-End and PM not? What exactly is High-End design, for that matter?
I downloaded the trial version of InDesign and the first thing that turned me off was the two selection tools (I hate that - that's why I also dislike Illustrator.) I did like the fact that it would open Quark files, though. Anyone care to educate me about the wonders of InDesign vs PM?
