high cpu usage!

also...has anyone experienced much higher cpu usage after installing ati drivers. before i installed my 9800 pro my pc would idle with 4 - 7 percent cpu usage. now after installing the 9800 pro and ati drivers it idles with 16 - 24 percent??? thanks.
