Hiee,
I want to put video files on my website.
I’d like to transfer video from my…
- VIDEO CAMERA on to my PC.
- VCR on to my computer.
Does anyone know where I can find information on how to do this?
OR
How do I copy video on to my PC?
What do I need?
Thanks,
Jenny

The most common interace for video cameras is a FireWire IEEE1394 Card. Your video camera has to support FireWire ports (they use the acronym DV). for your VCR you can get DV or video cards that support Video In. then get the appropiate SCART cable to connect to your video.DV card. I hope this helps.

Hi,
So, I need two seperate video cards for both my Video Camera and VCR?

Thanks,
Jenny

Have a look around...

Here on the adaptec website is a package that sounds very good.
Alternatively, You could just connect your camcorder using an s-video-in or composite video-in and then unplug camcorder and plug your VCR into either s-video or composite. These type of methods for your camcorder are slower than firewire but will enable to only fork out for one video card. Have a look at this card...
and look at the gladiac 920 and the gladiac video module.

Good luck.. You're only as good as your last answer!
