I have added network volumes to my Start Objects (german operating system) under my account.

the network volumes mount but always 'open' a window despite me clicking 'hide'.

Is there a way of mounting an NOT openeing or am I doing something wrong?

Best regards

Try removing them from startup items (which is usually used for apps).

Mount the drive on your desktop via Go menu/network and leave it mounted.

When you shut down or log out the mounted drive should hold, depending on the network architecture. Then when you start or log in it should be there.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
