OK, first question, why does this have to be such a PITA!!??

/rant off

I've tried all suggestions from including CONFIG.FPW w/screen=off to creating a formset and setting Application.Visible=.F. in Init of main form (which IS modal and ShowWindow = 2)...

In all cases I dbl click EXE and I see a window flash then nothing happens.../sigh..I'm pretty peo'd atm...Does anyone have insight/surefire solution?

So what solution did you choose? I share your rant. It's simple when you know it and if you started foxpro from v1.0 you might get used to all the single steps involved, the read events, the config.fpw, a top level form etc etc.

I wrote the FAQ faq184-6512 here about this topic solving that for the procedural or object oriented programmer with an SCX or VCX based minimum project, that can be used as a template.

Bye, Olaf.

Olaf you're awesome, I used your template for the single form...I've got a really basic form used to control a data conversion -- nothing fancy -- and I wanted it to look semi-clean to pass to client to use/play with.

Thanks much for your info, I actually archived that solution for my future reference!
