I am using Crystal 8.5 and I am having problems with conditionally suppressing groups.

I have the following group structure:-

G#1 – Grouped by Product
G#2 - Grouped by Date
G#3 – Selling price
Details – always hidden

G#2, G#3 and details are hidden initially showing just the list of products in G#1. However, when I drill into G#1 I would like it to show all G#2 and G#3’s without having to drill into G#2 to see the G#3 results.

If I don’t hide G#3 initially then it shows up in the initial view of all the instances of G#1.

Any ideas?

It's a hierarchy, so you have to drill in.

However the tree view control on the left allows you more flexibility with how you drill in.

Is there no way round this programmatically?

You could try combining the Group 2 field and the Group 3 field into one field, and grouping on that. Then both will show up at the same time.

If you were in v9 you have a DrillDownLevel function that makes this more direct.
