I have an old dBase type program on a Win2K Server (migrated over from a Novell 5 server). The users need "complete" access to the folder (directory). I can hide the folder by placing a $ at the end of the share name. Is there a way to prevent to folder and its contents from being listed from a command (dos) prompt?

You could prevent the users from having access to the folder. So only selected people are allowed access to the folder. Use the Security Tab remove the correct premissions from the folder leaving the ones that you want to have access to the folder.

Which permission prevents the folder and contents from being listed while allowing access to the program and data files?
