I have a form that is in datasheet view with three fields. all three are visible, but i want one of them not to be visible. For some reason it still shows up (in datasheet view at least, but not form view) when the field's visible property is set to No. Thanks in advance for all help.

I got around this problem with a little cheat method. I put the field that I wanted hidden in the last column in the datasheet (this is a small subform; 7-9 records viewable at any one time). What you do then is drag the right edge of the field to the left, until it is no longer visible.

It does work - but, it's a cheat.

Hope that helps!

rightclick on the field and click hide column. then save

Hide columns in Datasheet view

1Open a table, query, or form in Datasheet view.
2Select the column(s) you want to hide.

To select one column, click the field selector for that column.

To select adjacent columns, click a column field selector and then, without releasing the mouse button, drag to extend the selection.

3On the Format menu, click Hide Columns.
