Hiding cells

I have a sheet with some cells that I want to be hidden from the visual eye but still used in the calulations

TIA.....

Make sure the cells that you wish to be hidden are sequestered to a specific column or row and use Format > Row/Column > Hide.

...or, you could highlight the cells you want hidden and then select Format > Cells > Font > and select color "White" which will make the contents invisible, provided you've also selected Tools > Options > View tab > UNCHECK Formula Bar under "Show"
