Hi everyone,

I have a user that is complaining that others can see what her appointments are if they look at the scheduling tab when scheduling a new meeting request with her. For example, if you hover your mouse over a block that is currently "blued" out, the appointment information comes up.

Is there a way to block this information from coming up without causing free/busy issues?

Thanks!

Assuming that the user is using Outlook 2003, when she creates an appointment she should check the checkbox next to "Private" in the lower right hand corner of the appointment window. Then, when you hover a mouse over the "blued" out area it will simply show "Private Appointment".

She needs to actually open a "New Appointment" or an existing appointment to do this, she can't simply write the appointment in her calendar. For existing appointments she'll need to open each appointment to make the change.

BTW, this will also cause other users who have access to her calendar to only see "Private Appointment" and not the actual details.

Cheers.

Her calendar is shared out. Unshare it / change the permissions and this will go away.

No need for private.

Thanks everyone! I found out that the calendar showed permissions for "Default" with Reviewer permissions. Once removed this worked fine.

Thanks again.
