Hi,
Is there any way (using, for example something in the linking url) to hide the top of the contents page?

I mean, when you go into reporting services ( etc etc) you eventually get to a list of reports. I will give the users a url to link into the reports, but I don't want them to see the contents tab, toolbar with "New Folder, New Data Source" etc etc on.

I looked at linking them to " etc" but that is too basic.

Any ideas/pointers gratefully received

You should be able to set security up that does not allow the user to create Folders/Datasources.

Hi and thanks for responding.

I know that - I wanted to hide that part of the page completely

You'd better get into some ASP programming ASAP then! The page is an ASP app which you can customise...

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

xlbo - thought it might be.

In that case, rather than altering a built-in page that could could have any changes over written by future upgrades, I think I will write a couple of ASP pages and issue the reports that way.

Thanks for your input

Hitchikers guide to SSRS has a very good chapter on customising the Report Manager...

Good Luck !
