When I start my application I would like to hide his process in Windows Task Manager. How can I do it?

Thanks for your help.

could you be a little more explicitly?

Under Win2000/XP your app should be registered as Windows Service. That way, Windows won't show it in a task-list. Er... you mean task-list, not task-bar, right? :)

I'm sorry Ion Filipski.
I mean when I start my program and press Ctr+Alt+Del I don't want to see my programm in section Application on Windows Task Manager like running application (process).

I do not believe this is possible. For example I see all services processes in my TaskManager even they are registered as services or not.

I know you can in 95/98 ( but Windows based upon NT (i.e., NT/2000/XP) I don't know that you can. Look at on how to start your program minimized/task bar.

Again, if you really want to "hide" your app from task-manager under NT/XP check NTServices! Sorry I can't be more specific right now, maybe tomorrow...
But, what do you mean - how a virus can hide it self? By registering it self as a service and a few more tricks besides :)
Anyway, 2ffat is right, hiding app is completly different in Win9x and NT/XP

There used to be a way to hide it by adding a command line parameter when running the program.

i.e. c:\myprog.exe /hide or something similar.

I would like to know how to hide my application from the ctrl alt delete task list in Windows. For every versions of Windows and in C++. I am looking for lines of code.

Thanks,

look into all the flags on the createprocess function, this should give you a general direction.
