Hide internal resource names before sending .mpp to client

Hi,

I've put a plan together with internal resources identified for each of the tasks.

I don't want my client to know how many resources are working on the project. So I want to keep the tasks generic and have high level resource names assigned ("client" and "vendor", for example).

But, if I replace all the internal names with "vendor", it changes the plan because of resource leveling and changes the schedule entirely.

I want to keep the plan as is, but I need to protect private (internal) information before sharing the plan with the client.

Any suggestions for doing this?

Just a few ideas: screen shots, save as PDF, export to Excel and manipulate outside resource leveling. Does the client need a MS Project file? Or just the relevant info? You could also consider "turning off" resource leveling before changing the resource names. Naturally, in all of these circumstances, do it with a copy of your main plan. We always need backup/backout options.
