I have a report with two groups;
group 1 is Department,
group 2 is Employee.

Each group header has three sections with graphs - the graphs in group 1 are the same in group 2. Group 2 (including all sections) is hidden, except for GF2 where I've placed the Group 2 Name field so end-user can see what they want to drill down on.

After drilling into the appropriate GF2, end-user has to page through the group 1 information again to get to the information they drilled for. Any way to hide group 1 after drilling into group 2?

Thanks!

I gathered from another post that you have CR 9.0. CR 9.0 has the drilldowngrouplevel function, so you should be able to conditionally suppress the group 1 header with something like:

drilldowngrouplevel > 1

Right....however in GH1 you'd need drilldowngrouplevel <> 0 ...then for GH2 you can say Show and Suppress when drilldowngrouplevel <> 1

There is a setting on under File, Report Options called "Show All Headers on Drill Down". If this is currently selected, you may be able to solve your problem by deselecting this option.

I should have added that I don't have CR 9.0, so don't know how the drilldowngrouplevel levels are counted, so checkai's response might be more accurate.

CR 9 is when the ability to use Drilldowngrouplevel started. So My method will not work.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!! I should have thoughts of the "Show all headers"!! That's what I'm going to implement on this report, but I also didn't know about the drilldowngrouplevel - I'm sure it will come in handy sometime!!!!

University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation - we're the UW Health clinics around Madison and the surrounding areas. Ringing any bells? :)
