I'm running Exchange 2k3 and would like to hide the GAL from the Outlook drop down list. We have a seperate address list that is maintained by specific users. What we would like to do is give the end-users two address book options - their personal address book, and the custom company address book. That way there is no confusion. Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks,
stelljohann

You need to have a defautl GAL defined, however since you have created a second GAL then you can update the security settings for the GAL in ADSIEdit to DENY for the user/group and the 2nd GAL will become the new default.

Note, if using cached mode, you will also need to update the OAB, you can also do this is ADSI EDIT for the user object (msExchUseOAB)
