I have a hot key setup for users to call a department, when you press the key in the display if show the DN that it is calling. Is there any way to hide the DN?

Put in a phone without a display, or turn off the display options. Of course this will affect all lines on the phone, so may not be a popular option.

If it was me, I'd be sneeky and set up a Phantom DN or ACD queue that has a dummy nummy assigned to it to call the required destination number. Set up the hot key or ADL key to show the Phantom DN or ACD queue number instead. At least this way, the user can't view the actual number dialled.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

The problem with setting up a phantom etc is that they would still see the phantom number displayed, and know if they dialed that number, it would get to the group, so you are no better off.

Try DNDD in the class of service for the phone. That stops the dialed dn appearing in the display but I am not sure if it will stop the display of a hot key.

I thought that DNDD stops the called DN from being listed on the receiving set?. I was under the impression that the query was to prevent the dialed number from being shown when the hot line key is pressed?.
