Is there a way to hide computers from the browse list.We are running a 2k network with nt4,w2k, and xp pro boxes. I have tried putting a hidden=1 in the registry under LanManserver _> parameters section but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

James

You can remove the My Network Places from the desktop using the policy editor if that's not too drastic a step?

Are you trying to hide a specific machine from the network or are you trying to prevent a machine from browsing the network?

I would like to hide only certain stations from the hood. I have not instituted any policy's yet as i am not very familiar with them. Are the policy's global or user/group specific?

Several issues - is hidden case sensitive? I use Hidden.

When you set it, you need to wait at least 15 mins for it to disappear.
