Can anybody tell me about hidden views, folders. I think if we enclose the name with () it is hidden in notes. Am I right or there is something else?
Please tell me is these hierarchy possible and their visibility in client
1. Hidden Folder\Hidden Folders
2. Hidden Folder\Folders
3. Folder\Hidden Folders
4. Folder\Hidden Folder\Folder\Hidde........
6. (A\B) ---->A doesn't exist

You are right that the name in round brackets hides the view from the Notes user.

As for the visibility, I would say that :

1) nothing is visible
2) the Folder would be visible with the hierarchy, e.g. (Sales) would be hidden, but Sales\Region would be visible. However, (Sales)\Region would remain hidden.
3) the top-level folder is visible, but all sub-folders that are hidden will remain so.
4) again, the top-level folder is visible but everything underneath is hidden.

To simplify, any time Notes finds a round bracket in the folder name (at any level actually, not necessarily around the whole name), the folder is hidden.

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.
