Hidden Problems from ProLin-Shockwave worm

Just wanted to let everyone know that I came across a hidden problem resulting from an infection by the ProLin worm virus. Right now, I don't know if it results from the virus itself, or the decontaminiation procedure, but I do know that it is associated with one or the other. Four employees that use Windows 98 lost the ability to view applets in Internet Explorer (5 or 5.5). The fix I found for it is a manual removal of MS Virtual Machine (procedure can be found in MS doc Q255846), and then reinstalling it. Just thought folks may want to know, since this isn't documented anywhere at NAI or Symantec.

apparently there may be a security problem with the VM
