I inherited a database that has most database objects hidden. They show up in database window, but in muted font. What are some of the reasons one would hide the objects (and allow them to be seen at same time)?

I've read the help files and can't find any information about when and why to set objects to hidden.

Also, on all the all the reports, I'm unable to access the design view. Is there a way I can change the properties to allow design view?

Thanks for any assistance!

Mike

Normally someone might hide the objects to keep them out of site to casual users.

You might not be able to modify or create new forms, reports, and/or code if the file is an MDE.

Being able to see "hidden" objects may mean that you had clicked the checkbox for Hidden on the View tab of the Options area. Others may not see them.
