'lo all, thought I'd share something that I've just picked up from Dave Hawley (Auusie xl guru - Apparently (and I have just tested this):

"Did you know, when we Filter data via AutoFilters in VBA, Excel automatically creates a hidden named range called

'Sheet Name'!_FilterDatabase'

When we extract a range, based on a criteria, using AdvancedFilters it creates a named range called

'Sheet Name'!_Extract'

Both of these can be referenced in the same way as any named range

Dale - thought you might be interested in the Advanced Filter one as I'nm sure you can put this to good use (if you didn't already know about it)

Mike (rmikesmith) - I'm posting this so's you can learn something from me today ;-) Rgds

Vah! Denuone Latine loquebar? Me ineptum. Interdum modo elabitur

With advanced Filter you also get a range named 'Criteria'

Just thought I'd add a little bit!!

;-) If a man says something and there are no women there to hear him, is he still wrong? [ponder]

Nice one Loomah Rgds

The Name object has Visible property, if set to False it does not appear in names window, something like very hidden sheets.
Very interesting.

Inspired by this information I've started to develop a workbook to inspect open spreadsheets. If someone is intersted in the first results - mkb@op.pl
