I am a complete idiot when it comes to Mac, so please bear with me. I would like to set up an FTP server under OSX, which as I have found is no problem. Once I log in from a windows machine, I would like only to be able to see the FTP folder that I have created. Is it possible to hide all the other folders that are being seen, such as Library, desktop and what not. I hope that I have given enough explanation.

The default FTP sharing that is offered in 10.2 basically shares the home for a user - - so you will always get these extra folders. You should be able to set the permissions on a single folder in your home to allow anonymous access (CMD-I to 'get info'). You may also want to set a default folder in your Windows FTP client so that it always bypasses the other folders.

OSX is intended to be a basic server with limited configuration options. You may want to install a third party FTP daemon (see versiontracker.com for some options).
