I would strongly discourage you from buying anything with the Hi-Val or IOMagic name. They are the same company. I personally made this mistake 3 years ago with a DVD-Rom and had to constantly argue with the support office to get replacements on a faulty drive. Each time they would ship me a different broken drive. Then they would try to make me feel guilty for returning it so many times. I personally think the whole company is a sham. I finally gave up. shipping was costing too much. Save your money and get a better one.
