Hi. This forum looks promising for me. I recently aquired PageMaker 7.0 to use in editing our usergroup newsletter. I hope to learn as much as I can from you experts and hopefully dispense my knowledge to others as well. Thanks to all of the "experts" here that allow us newbies to pick your brains.

My question: I am running WinXP and have PM 6.5 already installed. Should I uninstall 6.5 before installing 7.0? Any XP issues to be aware of?

Max, there is no need to uninstall 6.5. 7.0 will install into a different directory, and you will actually be able to run both apps, which may come in handy as there are tons of issues with 7.0 and XP.

If 6.5 is running well on XP, then you will have little problem with 7.0, since 6.5 is not certified for XP and I hear tons of problems with that setup.

The main things you want to check after install is creation of a PDF, and SFSP (save for service provider). If those work well, then you will be fine. Let us know how the install goes. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
