Hi there
i am using DMX and SQL2000
i try to insert date from the form into the database. i get this error Error Type: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E07) [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value.
How to convert date type format and where

Sounds like you not inserting a date.

post your form code and how this form is populated.

yeah the error is an ASP error. try the ASP forum also...

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull
 
It may cause an error but response.write exactly what you are trying to insert into the database to trouble shoot what the error is pointing at.

We are only guessing as we cant see what your code is doing

How to convert date type format and where?
- in the DB itself...where u defined the fields.

your field is set to be a character while ur trying to insert the date!
