Hi there,

At random times my XP Pro pc will disconnect from the router. I get a "Network cable was disconnected" error and I'm completely offline and off the network. Sometimes it will come back online in 10 seconds or so. But other times I have to reboot. If I reboot, I'm back online no problem. I've tried different cables, so that's not it. Any ideas? 90% of the time it's fine, but that 10% is annoying

Depending on what type of machine you have. You could try pulling out the NIC and giving it a good blow/clean and reinsert it back in to the PCI slot (real good).... It seems like a lot of work, but in the end it may relieve that 10% of annoyance.
